It has long been established that the chat of Facebookat least in applications, is separated from the social network with the name of Messenger, and over the years users have gotten used to it. However, it seems that the brand itself is sorry for making such a separation, and it is possible that they will merge it again in the coming months.
Since 2008 chat and Facebook In general, they were the same entity, and they remained that way for a long time, until 2014 when they separated so that the interaction would be less intrusive. However, now that the company is named as Goalthey want to unify their creations more, so the chat would be returning once again to the main app.
In fact, they are already carrying out some tests for this return. The current head of Facebook, Tom Alisonmentioned the following in the blog entry of Goal:
We’re testing that people can access their Messenger inbox within the Facebook app and you’ll see this test expand soon.
In the event that this merger takes place soon, it is not clear what will happen to the chats stored in the application, although logically, it is clear that there will be a transfer process for them. In the same way, it is a more sensible idea that they do this, in order that Facebook be unified and not have some kind of separation.

Editor’s note: I hardly use Facebook but I imagine it will be a way to make things easier, since being with two applications at the same time is not the best idea of Meta. So, it will be a change for the better, or at least that’s what I think.
