Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba confirmed today, Thursday, that his country “will not use Western combat aircraft to strike targets in Russia,” as part of Ukraine’s efforts to obtain fighters from Western countries that support it.
Dmytro Kuleba added, “We use the weapons we receive from our partners to strike Russia in the lands it occupied in Ukraine,” noting that Kiev “can guarantee the use of Western weapons to liberate Ukrainian lands,” according to Sky News.
The Ukrainian Foreign Minister reiterated that “Ukraine needs the planes to end the war and push Russia beyond our eastern borders.”
The issue of the West providing Ukraine with combat aircraft, to confront the military operation launched by Russia on its territory, has greatly occupied international public opinion in recent weeks, especially because of the serious repercussions that may result from it, in light of Russian warnings.
