United Autosports and Vector Sport are working to complete their crews for the 2023 FIA World Endurance Championship season.
For both teams, the commitment in the LMP2 Class with their respective Oreca 07-Gibson must be honored at the highest levels, therefore, less than a month before the start of the championship, here are the names that were missing.
Starting from United, the bet is the young Frederick Lubin, an 18-year-old from the Euroformula Open who will be able to gain experience alongside Phil Hanson and Filipe Albuquerque in car #22.
“I am thrilled to be racing for United Autosports this year in the number 22 car in the World Endurance Championship with Phil and Filipe – commented Lubin – I can’t wait to get started, I think it will be an incredible year. Thank you very much to Richard Dean for giving me this opportunity and the rest of the team. See you in Sebring.”
Team principal Richard Dean adds: “The WEC gets stronger and more competitive every year, but we have a lineup of drivers in both of our cars that are capable of winning. The #22 has our previous WEC title winners, Phil and Filipe, and an exciting young talent in Freddie. We expect to be fighting for podium finishes at every event.”

Coming instead to Vector, in addition to the already confirmed Ryan Cullen on the Oreca #10 we will have in action Gabriel Aubry, fresh from his experience on Ferrari in LMGTE AM and already with a past in LMP2, and Matthias Kaiser, seen at the wheel of Muelhner Motorsport’s Oreca in ELMS.
“We are delighted to welcome Gabi and Matthias to the team. We have had a great pre-season and are looking forward to the Prologue and the Sebring race,” says team principal Gary Holland.
“We are confident their individual qualities, grit and determination will help us continue to make an impact in what we know will be a very competitive season.”
