Alfa Romeo presented the new C43 single-seater just a few days ago which will take part in the next Formula 1 season. Even before the car takes to the track for the first world championship appointment, enthusiasts will be able to buy one full-scale replica, and not just any: we are talking about the single-seater used by Alfa Romeo for the official launch and autographed by the drivers Valtteri Bottas and Zhou Guanyu. This replica of the C43, up for auction on F1 Authentics, It clearly cannot be driven, but still represents an exclusive collector’s item.
The showcar in question will in fact presumably be completely loyal to the dimensions of the real C43, or at least to those of the car officially presented by Alfa Romeo, equipped with components that will not only be based on the team’s official 3D models, but also made in real carbon fiber and manufactured using the same production to which the team has relied. As mentioned, under the frame no engine is hidden: translated, only the design will ensure that this single-seater is faithful to the one that will compete in the next Formula 1 world championship, given that no propulsion will transmit it the power to move. Also for this reason we can expect that the final price of this showcar will certainly rise but without reaching astronomical figures: currently, in fact, the highest offer is less than 100,000 pounds, when the cost of a perfectly functioning car of this kind would be between 12 and 16.5 million pounds.
F1 Authentics has announced, moreover, that it will not be possible to install a functioning engine under the chassis of this single-seater even after the purchase of the showcar due to the chassis himself, who was declared “not up to the task”. Whoever buys up this C43, which is equipped with working electronics for the rear rainproof light and for the steering wheel (the latter connected to the front wheels), will also get the autographed racing suits worn by the two official Alfa Romeo drivers during the launch event.
