It’s clear that some Japanese companies don’t have Xbox platforms in mind when it comes to certain titles. Square Enix is the most notorious example. However, recently it was revealed that Capcom completely forgot that the Microsoft Store exists.
As part of a survey for the end of 2022/beginning of 2023, Capcom asked fans “How do you prefer to buy games?” Options include the Switch eShop, the PlayStation Store, Steam, and physical stores. However, not a single mention is made of the Xbox Microsoft Store.
Although Capcom has not mentioned why the omission of this digital store is due, this could well be just a mistake, since Xbox is mentioned throughout the survey. However, this is still somewhat strange. especially considering that in just a few weeks it will arrive Monster Hunter Rise to this platform. Similarly, it is expected that Street Fighter 6, the remake of resident evil 4and more games become available on Microsoft consoles.
At the moment there is no response from Capcom in this regard, and it is very likely that they will mention this case. On related topics, these are the games that will be leaving Xbox Game Pass in the coming days.
Editor’s Note:
Certainly a rather strange omission. While it can be argued that the Microsoft Store is not around due to the existence of Game Pass, it just Monster Hunter Rise It will come to this service, and the rest of the games confirmed for Xbox will not.
