- The presidential incontinence of insulting and slandering free journalists worsens.
Yesterday here I reproduced a Tweet of the head of economic development of CdMx on the failed attempt to kill a Ciro Gomez Leyva, hanging on “the rapacious oligarchy and the morally defeated, petty, treacherous and lying opposition” the ability “to pay for an attack” to blame “those who replicate the media attacks…”.
The official knows that the biggest replicator is Andrés Manuel López Obrador, and someone should have alerted him to the magnitude of his nonsense because he uselessly and cowardly “deleted” it.
However, the president yesterday, after proclaiming that “the only hypothesis that must be ruled out is that we, the government that I represent is not (sic: he meant to be) a repressive government he endorsed the suspicion of his imaginative comrade:
“It may be a case linked to the transformation process that we are carrying out and that some do not like (…). Also the fact that groups contrary to us, in order to affect us, have carried out an act with these characteristics (…).
Two days before the attack on Ciro he uttered:
“We must continue to inform, not leaving them free ground. Imagine if you just listen to Ciro, Loret de Mola or Sarmiento, no! Well, it is also harmful to health; I mean, if you listen to them a lot, you can even get a brain tumor.”
But on Friday he seemed sincere when he expressed:
“I want to send my solidarity, send my support to Ciro Gómez Leyva, who was the victim of an attack yesterday. Fortunately there were no fatal, serious consequences, and we celebrate him because he is a journalist, a human being, but he is also a leader of public opinion, and damage to a personality like Ciro generates a lot of political instability (…).
The most important thing is to express our solidarity, to tell Ciro that he is not alone. And I do this out of conviction, because we have differences, they are notorious, they are in the public domain, we will continue to have them…”.
From his hateful perspective, the discrepancies with Ciro and many other journalists and critics are so, so abysmal, that this Monday he returned to what he likes and does best: insult.
“We have already expressed here that we stand in solidarity with him (but) it is in the public domain that we have differences with the spokesmen for conservatism, among which are, and I say this with great respect, Ciro and López-Dóriga and Denise Merkel and Claudio X. González, although he is not a journalist, but he is a businessman, and Loret de Mola. And they are differences that come from afar.
We recommend you read:
Because they say: ‘It’s because it’s stigmatized in the morning.’ Now they become the victims (…). And not that they were luminaries, right? Or that they were so intelligent. It is that they have a mission: to protect the interests of groups (…). And who supported those positions? These same. Who supported García Luna? Well, Ciro, Marín de MILENIO, all of them…”.
With so many enemies like the ones he hallucinates, I don’t want to imagine how many knockers, how many locks or how many latches the door of the presidential bedroom will have…
