Daniel Carrillo, Mayor of San Nicolás, explained that the recommendation that was made to the municipalities to carry out their Expenditure Budget for next year is to work on the fiscal package that was approved this 2022, taking into account the federal contributions that have already been published.
He indicated that although the reforms to the Finance Coordination Law and the Fiscal Code have not yet been published in the Official State Newspaper, the modifications have already been approved by Congress and are therefore valid.
“Some will present a base only (taking into account the budget) of 2022 and others with the presentation of the reforms that, although they have not been published, have already been approved by Congress, which means that they are valid,” said Carrillo.
“The intention is that these reforms apply from January 1, 2023,” he added.

“Don’t be afraid,” he added, addressing the mayors who did not attend, “this is not a movement against the Governor, it is a municipalist movement in favor of municipal autonomy.”
Garza stressed that the movement was not created for economic interest, but to respect the autonomy of the municipalities.
“This movement arises from an aggression and lack of respect from the State Government to the municipalities of New LionIt is not a movement just for more resources. It is a movement for respect for municipal autonomy,” he said.
