Chivas de Guadalajara has started a new process for the Clausura 2023 tournament of the Liga MX. The team led by Veljko Paunovic will seek to leave behind years of crisis and return to being the protagonist in this championship. With this objective in mind, the Sacred Flock will carry out an atypical preseason for Mexican soccer clubs.
The rojiblancos will hold several friendly matches before the start of the season. Chivas will face eight Mexican soccer clubs, both from Liga MX and from lower divisions, in addition to being measured against two LaLiga squads.
El Rebaño will play against Tapatío, Loros de Colima and Necaxa. Then he will go to Spain to face Athletic Bilbao and Getafe. Through their social networks, the Jalisco confirmed their confrontation against the Azulones, this will take place on Thursday, December 8 at the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez.
Three days later, Chivas de Guadalajara will face Athletic Bilbao in San Mamés. After playing this two duels against teams from the first division of Spain, the rojiblancos will return to play against Mazatlán FC, Santos Laguna, Tigres and Atlas.
The Clausura 2023 of the Liga MX will start next Friday, January 6. In other words, Chivas will have to prepare for a month and a half to arrive in the best possible shape at the start of the season.
