The show also won awards for Best Actress in a First Role for Ahlam Hassan, Best Costumes for Ibtisam Al Hammadi, Best Decoration for Kholoud Al-Kandari, and Best Lighting for Fadel Al-Nassar.
The best director award went to Muhammad al-Mazal for the play “Let’s Drink Coffee” by the Youth Theater Group. The play also won five other awards: Best Sound Effects, Best Theatrical Script for Author Faisal Al-Obeid, Best Actor in a Second Role for Youssef Al-Hashash, Best Promising Actor by Hussein Al-Haddad, and Best Actress in a second role for the artist Samah.
The artist Abdul Aziz Behbehani won the Best Actor award in a first role for the play “Go ahead for dinner” by the Kuwaiti theater group, and Abdulaziz Al-Juraib won the Best Make-up award for the same show.
Actress Fatima Khaled won the Best Promising Actress Award for her role in the play “The Hybrid” by Ait Company for Artistic and Theater Production.
Six theater groups competed for the prizes of this session, which was organized by the arts sector of the National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters, under the auspices of the Ministry of Information and Culture.
At the end of the festival, the jury recommended opening the competition for all festival prizes to residents of the State of Kuwait, or specifying a certain number of them to enter the competition cycle, as well as the need to reconsider the festival’s organizing regulation in line with technical and procedural changes and developments.
