Patriarch Kirill said that the world is in the face of a global nuclear catastrophe
Today the world is facing a global nuclear catastrophe. This opinion was expressed on Tuesday, October 25, during a speech at the plenum of the XXIV World Russian People’s Council (VRNS), by Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, whose words are quoted by RIA News.
“We have to admit with regret that in the 21st century, humanity does not show much readiness to follow the path of life proposed by the Creator,” said the primate of the Russian Orthodox Church (ROC).
He added that now, in the face of the threat of a nuclear catastrophe, these words “sound with particular tension.”
Earlier, Kirill said that Russia for many in the world is a “thorn in the eye”, and “they are trying to wipe it off the face of the earth” because it offers “an alternative view of the world, of God and man.”
VRNS is a Russian public forum that has existed since 1993. The cathedral is attended by people with different political views, who are united by the desire to care for the present and future of Russia.
