Miami. Rauw Alejandro, Chiquis Rivera, Marco Antonio Solís, “El Buki”, Jesse & Joy, and Sebastián Yatra will perform at the upcoming Latin Grammy Awards ceremony, to be held in Las Vegas (Nevada, USA) on November 17, the Latin Recording Academy announced on Monday.
This first group of artists to take to the stage at Mandalay Bay of the city of casinos is made up of musicians who are among the nominees in the twenty-third edition of the Latin Grammys and, in some cases, have won in previous years, said the institution that awards these awards.
Puerto Rican Rauw Alejandro has a total of eight nominations this year, including the Recording of the Year and Song of the Year awards, while Sebastián Yatra is up for four gramophones, including album of the year and song of the year.
The Mexicans Jesse & Joy, who have won six Latin Grammys and one Grammy award, aspire in this edition to win the award for best pop vocal album, and the Mexican regional singer Chiquis, also winner in the past of a Latin grammy, is nominated in the category best ranchera/mariachi music album.
For his part, Marco Antonio Solís, “El Buki”, “will offer an unforgettable performance” at the gala on November 17, the Latin Recording Academy promised today in the statement in which they announced these presentations.
Composer, arranger, music producer and artistic director, throughout a four-decade career, the Mexican has added five Latin Grammys and has been nominated six times for the Grammy Awards.
At the next gala in Nevada, “El Buki”, as he is also known, will receive the special Person of the Year award.
The twenty-third edition of these awards, which will be broadcast in the USA by the Hispanic network Univision, “promises to honor the legacy, celebrate the present and welcome the future of Latin music with open arms, promoting – very deliberately – the next generations of creators of music,” the Latin Recording Academy said in its note.
In this 2022 edition, the Puerto Rican Bad Bunny starts as the great favorite after adding ten nominations for these awards that are awarded by music professionals.
