In 90 days it is stipulated that the Tienditas International Bridge, a passage between Colombia and Venezuela from the state of Táchira, be opened.
The government of that town announced on Monday that both governments agreed on the administrative and logistical procedures.

There are three aspects that are being worked on for the opening: immigration, customs and health controls, in addition to the adaptation for the passage of merchandise, according to the governor of Táchira, Freddy Bernal.
In his radio program, the regional president reported that a meeting of Colombian senators and Venezuelan deputies in Villa del Rosario is scheduled for October 21.
This meeting was scheduled for September 25, one day before the formal opening of the border.
“I tell the people of Táchira to be patient, that things are on the right track, only that you have to give time to adjust all the mechanisms,” said Bernal.
Regarding border security, Bernal assured that they work to combat gangs such as El Tren de Aragua.
“If our authorities attack from here and the Colombian authorities from there, the criminals will have nowhere to go, because if they flee from Venezuela to Colombia, they will be caught there and vice versa,” he said.
The Tienditas bridge was going to be opened in 2016, but with the closure in 2015 ordered by the Venezuelan government, this never happened.
During his visit to Caracas, the Colombian Minister of Transportation, Guillermo Reyes, assured that first the state of the structure had to be evaluated in order to enable vehicular passage, whose work was already being carried out.
