Under the title “How to Support Local and International Talents,” the Sharjah International Film Festival for Children and Youth hosted Jihad Darwish, President of the “Talents and Enriching the Imagination” company specialized in films and entertainment, in a panel discussion during which he outlined strategies to stimulate creative and critical thought to encourage promising young people to discover their potential and develop their talents. The session moderated by Shahd Al Kaabi, on Monday evening at the Al Jawaher Center for Events and Conferences in Sharjah, the guest confirmed that the practical training provided through the development programs at the Arab Film Studio helped promising filmmakers in the region obtain the guidance, guidance and support necessary to achieve their dreams.
He said: “The Arab Film Studio”, for the tenth year in a row, contributes to shedding light on the Emirati film industry, which is witnessing rapid development on the global scene, and continues to develop Emirati and Arab content, by introducing the world to the success stories presented by the UAE, and providing young people with the necessary tools. To create creative content and tell their stories, our goal is to produce world-class filmmakers and film directors here in the UAE.
He continued: Today, everyone can participate in filmmaking, as the smartphone is a powerful tool that has proven its advanced ability to capture and edit content, and has succeeded in removing the barriers and obstacles imposed by traditional imaging tools.
Jihad Darwish encouraged the youth participating in the festival to pursue their passion in filmmaking, saying: Realize your dreams, create new content and produce films with your creative ideas, because you are the bearers of the torch of Emirati cinema, and take advantage of the opportunities offered to you by media platforms, especially this festival, to tell your stories, because you bear Responsibility to protect Emirati and Arab culture and make it known around the world.
