Mexico.- This Tuesday, October 11, the launch of the Unitsa new platform powered by oCivil organizations linked to businessman Claudio X. Gonzálezwhich seeks to reorganize the opposition bloc heading to 2024 elections.
Under the name of Unid@s, six social organizations will summon other groups to unify to create a opposition proposal platformcontrary to the public policies that have marked the government of Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO).
The opposition bloc backed by Claudio X. González seeks to take a first step to start the defense of the National Electoral Institute (INE), before the AMLO electoral reform which will be promoted in Congress in the coming days.
“Six organizations we believe that a common platform can be made and we will invite other organizations to participate. It is not that the organizations we are in will disappear, but that it will be the call to coordinate ourselves,” said Guadalupe Acosta Naranjo, leader of the National Civic Front (FCN).
At 11:00 a.m. this Tuesday, at the Poliforum Siqueiros, the six organizations made up of Unid@s make the call to start the citizen organization.
The convening organizations are National Civic Front, Citizen Power, Yes for Mexico, Mexico Civil Society, Unite Mexico and United for Mexico.
The leader of the FCN explained that they will organize 32 state and other regional forums with different themes, such as security and militarization, economy, migration and democracy, where the proposals will be sought to coincide to avoid each organization making a separate program.
A unified vision is sought and that many people participate in the elaboration of the program of social organizations, Acosta Naranjo mentioned.
“People want to participate and demand the broadest unity, they want to contribute to the preparation of public policy proposals and we want to organize ourselves for it. If the organizations We ask the political parties for unity by 2024civil society organizations must also be united for the first step, which is the common platform,” he explained.
He explained that the social groups willing to join Unid@s are in time to begin the work of preparing proposals, with different participation mechanisms, such as an online platform to receive documents and opinions from the participants.
The former leader of the PRD stressed that one of the objectives of Unid@s is to generate a common opposition platformbut also come out in defense of the INE against AMLO’s electoral reform and Brunette.
