Belarus dictator Alexander Lukashenko announced on Monday that he would send Belarus troops to reinforce the Russian army against Ukraine. According to the country’s leader, Kiev would be preparing an attack against Belarus for the next few days.
Lukashenko also reported that last week he met with Russian President Vladimir Putin to agree on the formation of a common military group, without, however, saying how many men there would be and where they would be concentrated.
The announcement was made during a meeting of national security representatives, which was reported by the Belarusian newspaper Belta.
At a Security Council meeting in Russia, Putin confirmed that a “massive campaign against Ukraine’s energy, military and communication infrastructure” had been launched in reprisal for the attack on the Crimean bridge over the weekend.
