Home loans reference interest rates will rise again after a small dip. Finland’s most popular reference interest rate, the 12-month Euribor, rose to 2.639 percent on Monday. The quotation is the highest of the year.
The last time the reference rate was as high was on January 15, 2009. At that time, the 12-month euribor was quoted at 2.651 percent.
The one-year euribor has risen exceptionally strongly this year. Even at the beginning of the year, the euribor for the year was around 0.5 percent below zero. Now, less than a year later, the interest rate has risen by more than 3.15 percentage points.
