“WONDERFUL MAN”
This is not the first time Trump has declared support for Bolsonaro. At the beginning of September, he wrote in his profile on the social network Truth Social that the Chief Executive is a “wonderful man” and that he had his “full endorsement”.
On the occasion, Trump’s speech was on the same day that Bolsonaro was on the cover of the British magazine The Economistwho compared him to the former Chief Executive of the United States: “The Man Who Would Be Trump” (“The Man Who Would Be Trump”), said the edition. According to the magazine, Bolsonaro would be a threat to Brazilian democracy.
“When I was President of the USA, there was no country leader who called me more than Jair in search of tariff and tax cuts, trade renegotiations, drug policies and beefed up borders (to put the “bad guys” in jail!) , military aid and more”he said.
Donald Trump was permanently banned from Twitter on January 8, 2021, just days after his supporters stormed Capitol Hill, the US Congress. In justification, the social network stated that the decision was made by the “risk of further incitement to violence”.
