The actions of US President Joe Biden cast doubt on his claims for another term. This was announced on Saturday, October 1, by the columnist Washington Post Megan McArdle.
“The more Biden appears in front of the public – and he will have to do this as part of the 2024 election campaign – the more concern he causes,” she said.
McArdle suggested that the White House is aware of the problems the president is facing, which is why Biden kept a low profile during his first 20 months in office. The fact that the epidemiological situation was not conducive to publicity played into the hands of his administration, otherwise US citizens would have begun to wonder about the professional suitability of the head of state even earlier.
According to the columnist, the question is not only whether the slow and tired Biden will be able to win the upcoming elections, but also whether he will have enough strength to rule the country for at least another year.
Biden often gets into ridiculous situations. So, on September 28, while expressing gratitude to a number of politicians, he mentioned Jackie Valorsky. The President of the United States asked the question “Where is Jackie?” several times. Congresswoman Jackie Valorsky, 58, died on August 3 in a car accident near Nappani, Indiana.
Subsequently, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre explained that Biden was looking in the Valorsky Hall, as “the president constantly thinks about her.”
Earlier, on September 22, at The Global Fund conference in New York, the head of state was unable to leave the stage. After finishing his speech, he headed for the exit, but determined the wrong direction. During the applause of his speech, the politician could not immediately decide what to do next and where to go.
Before that, in August, the media reported that the American leader forgot about shaking hands with the senator after three seconds. That same summer, Biden’s fall from a bicycle while trying to get close to journalists and people gathered in Gordons Pond National Park was widely discussed.
Reporters bombarded him with questions about his state of health, but instead of answers, he made three jumps forward and proceeded to the car.
On June 8, former Republican presidential candidate neurosurgeon Ben Carson questioned Biden’s mental fitness. He expressed confidence that strong, effective leadership is needed not only for the United States, but for the whole world.
Biden is 79 years old. He is the oldest president in American history. At the same time, he intends participate in the election of the new US president in 2024 and fight his predecessor, Donald Trump.
