In Parliament it is planned to organize a topical discussion on the foreign and security policy situation next week. Speaker Matti Vanhanen (Centre) said during the parliament’s question hour on Thursday that the aim is to organize the debate next Tuesday.
In the current discussion, introductions will be heard from key ministers, on the basis of which the discussion will take place. The opposition has been asked to organize such a debate.
Prime minister Sanna Marin (sd) said that it is extremely important to find parliamentary unanimity and cooperation on these issues.
“When it comes to foreign and security policy, matters of the motherland, the wider and more united cooperation we are able to do, the safer the whole of Finland is,” he said.
