Intel has finally revealed the price and release date of the top-of-the-range Arc Alchemist GPU, A770: the graphics card will arrive on October 12 at a price of $ 329. The announcement was made during Intel Innovation, where, among other announcements, the new generation of Raptor Lake CPUs was also unveiled.
During the event, Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger confirmed that the Arc A770 is already in the hands of content creators and specialized press. Intel guarantees that the Arc A770 GPU will be up to 65% “against the competition in ray tracing”. While not mentioning who this competitor is we can understand that the CEO is referring to the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 GPU.
The Arc A770 will exploit the full potential of the ACM-G10 GPU, which also equips the A750 and A580 cards, which were not mentioned by Intel. The high-end SKU will have two versions: one with 16GB and one with 8GB of video memory, with variations in memory speed and total bandwidth.
For now, only the Arc A770 has a release date and price. There is no estimate of when the other two GPUs, the A750 and A580, should arrive.
