Intel officially presented its new “top of the range” GPU called Intel Arc A770 and of which have been announced release date and price: Intel’s graphics card will be available from October 12, 2022, starting at $ 329, waiting for information on the Italian market.
The price is in line with that recommended by Nvidia (in the US) for the RTX 3060, but in theory the Arc A770 should be more powerful of the competitor card.
The intention is precisely to attack a specific market segment, the one characterized by a decidedly lower price range than that to which competing high-end GPUs belong, such as the new RTX 40 series.
“We have seen for a long time now that the right price for GPUs is in the range between 200 and 300 dollarsbut what has happened in recent years is that these have become super expensive, “said Pat Gelsinger, CEO of Intel.” It’s frustrating because it leads to a separation of the gamer community, and today we want to solve this problem. ” .
From 12 October, therefore, the new Intel Arc A770 will be launched, which seems to be a very interesting solution, especially considering the announced price range and always waiting to know what the price is in euros.
The technical features of the Intel Arc A770 have an ACM-G10 architecture equipped with 32 Xe cores (corresponding to 4,096 Stream Processors), 2100 MHz clock and 8 GB or 16 GB GDDR6 video memory.
With this configuration, in theory, the Intel video card should outperform its direct competitor (i.e. the RTX 3060, apparently) in terms of ray tracing performance of around 65% at 1080p resolution. According to reports, the performance should be somewhere between the RTX 3060 Ti and the RTX 3070 at 1440p, but of course we will have to wait for the independent benchmarks to get a better idea of these.
In today’s event, Intel also unveiled 13th generation CPUs that offer more cores and still support DDR4 RAM.
