Every human being IS on planet Earth. There is no other place to BE. In the French newspaper Le Monde, Nicholas Truong publishes an analysis on the situation of the planet entitled “Thinking and acting in a world on fire” (Penser et agir dans un monde en feu, Le Monde, 23/Sep/2022). He first makes a description of the demonstrations due to high temperatures this summer. The same Friday began autumn this year. A summer where the different latitudes of the planet had high temperatures, causing droughts, fires, water shortages, thaws, in short, a cry from the Earth, practically running out.
Summer “where no point on the planet escaped a station of hell. Everyone can feel the disaster from a balcony, perceive the apocalypse at the end of the garden.” From there Truong jumps to the philosophical questions of a human being who is destroying the planet. Then Truong wonders: How to question being and time, by metaphysics, following Martin Heidegger? Or, how to embroider on being and nothing, following Jean Paul Sartre?
Then quoting the Danish sociologist Nikolay Schultz, “It is one thing to stay in bed at night in Paris, trying to fall asleep in the heat of the heat at 42°C and reading on your cell phone that it is 52°C in Pakistan. In addition, that fan, which will allow you to sleep, will explode your electricity consumption and then your problems will worsen. The article follows the analysis of the various ecological and philosophical approaches that are currently being developed and elaborated to deal with the planet’s ecological disasters.
Of the human being in Mexico and Sinaloa
Global warming in the country and our state are manifesting each year. Everyone feels it and lives it. If it weren’t for the electricity subsidies from the federal government, northwestern Mexico would experience a multitude of tragedies due to high temperatures. We must insist, in this space, that in addition to destroying the planet, in Mexico and Sinaloa the human beings who live here are destroying their own bodies. In July the following was published:
“The 2020 National Health and Nutrition Survey (ENSANUT) describes how overweight and obesity have increased in infants, adolescents, and adults in Mexico. In the presentation of the ENSANUT it is reported: “Finally, the results in terms of nutritional status…in boys and girls under five years of age…the prevalence of overweight and obesity in children from 5 to 11 years old was 19.6 and 18.6 %, respectively. In adolescents, the prevalence of overweight was 26.8%, and 17% have obesity and it is observed that it continues to increase. For their part, 76% of adult women are overweight or obese; while in men this figure is 72.1%” (Readings, THE DEBATE, 10/Jul/2022).
Allow me, kind reader, to make this graphic description: Count 10 men and you will find that in 7 you will see traits of obesity or overweight. Count 10 women, most of the time, you will find that 8 have traits of obesity or overweight. That is what the statistical figures of the ENSANUT describe. This shows how in Mexico, Sinaloa and where you live, dear reader, human beings are destroying our bodies.
Of infants and adolescents
The tragedy of this obesity and overweight pandemic is that it affects Mexican and Sinaloan infants. With the same descriptive exercise, count 10 girls and boys, most of the time, 4 will have manifestations of obesity or overweight. Count 10 adolescents, 4, and sometimes 5, will manifest characteristics of obesity or overweight. Human beings in Mexico, Sinaloa and there in the city of Sinaloa where you live, we are destroying our bodies. In addition to destroying the planet, in Mexico and Sinaloa human beings are destroying their own bodies.

Paragraphs: What to do?
Let’s insist again, with data from 2021: Every adult is responsible for what goes into their mouth. It is his decision and the exercise of his freedom. But, every adult with guardianship, custody or guardianship of an infant MUST take care not to make these girls, boys or adolescents obese or overweight by consuming junk food. It is impossible for the Mexican State to be able, budgetarily, to deal with the diseases that are associated with these ailments. There is no future for Mexico if this continues to increase. In 2021 there were: More than 226 thousand deaths from heart disease and 156 thousand in 2019. More than 142 thousand deaths from diabetes and 104 thousand in 2019. There are the deadly numbers. In addition to the public policies that the Mexican government MUST have, at all levels, it is the citizen’s co-responsibility to act to stop these deadly figures.
