The work of the Seventh Conference of Religious Leaders, which will last for two days, was launched today in the Kazakh capital, “Nur-Sultan”, under the title “The Role of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions in the Spiritual and Social Development of Humanity in the Post-Covid-19 Epidemic.”
The opening of the conference was attended by His Excellency Kasim-Jomart Tokayev, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and His Eminence the Grand Imam A. Dr. Ahmed El-Tayeb, Grand Sheikh of Al-Azhar, Chairman of the Muslim Council of Elders, His Holiness Pope Francis, Pope of the Vatican, and leaders and leaders of religions around the world.
The conference began with a united call from leaders and religious leaders: “that God unite peoples and end wars and conflicts, that security and safety prevail, that love replace hatred, that acquaintance replaces fanaticism, and that God enables us to eliminate all environmental disasters.”
The “Leaders of Religions” conference is a unique event, hosted by Kazakhstan, once every three years, which confirms its prominent role in supporting peace, tolerance and dialogue initiatives between leaders and followers of religions, based on the belief in the great role of religious leaders in spreading the voice of moderation to promote dialogue, and combating Religious intolerance that some extremist organizations seek within societies.
