The State Border Committee of Belarus announced that Lithuania has reached a new level of cruelty towards refugees.
“On the evening of September 12, on the Belarusian-Lithuanian border, a border patrol found four refugees with signs of physical violence. Syrian citizens explained that the day before, the Lithuanian security forces forced them out across the state border to the territory of Belarus. When the refugees tried to explain their situation, the Lithuanian security forces simply unleashed their dogs on them. Telegram channel departments on Tuesday, September 13.
Earlier, on August 18, the Belarusian Border Committee reported that Lithuanian border guards literally pushed Iranian refugees out of the country to Belarus. Lithuanian servicemen took seven Iranian citizens to the territory of the state and left them at the border line.
In July 2021, Lithuania announced a migration crisis in the country and accused Belarus of creating the conditions for this. They stressed that the country needs comprehensive assistance from the European Union, and the current situation on the Lithuanian-Belarusian border is a “hybrid attack on Lithuania, financed by the Belarusian regime.”
In Belarus, in turn, they called the situation with migrants a new way of putting pressure on the republic. In the same month, Lithuania began to install a wall on the border with Belarus in order to contain the migration processes.
Belarus has repeatedly pointed out Lithuania’s cruel attitude towards migrants. Thus, on August 10 last year, it was noted that the Lithuanian border guards forcibly delivered a pregnant foreign woman, who was unconscious, to the border line with Belarus.
The Belarusian State Border Committee said that Lithuanian border guards do not provide medical assistance to refugees who are in dire need of it.
