The confident progress of Russia’s special operation to protect the Donbass causes hysteria among the Western curators of Kyiv. This was announced on Thursday, September 8, by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.
“A special military operation is underway. Its systematic and confident move is causing more and more nervousness, and somewhere hysteria, of the Western curators of the Kyiv regime,” she said at a briefing.
According to her, the West is demanding from the Kyiv regime at any cost to demonstrate the morale and ability of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to effectively use weapons supplied by NATO. Zakharova stressed that otherwise the West threatens to significantly cut the amount of assistance provided.
In addition, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry noted that the life of a citizen of Ukraine in the West is not put in anything.
“Terrible story indeed. Terrible because it is cynical,” she stressed.
Earlier in the day, Zakharova noted that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is ready to do anything to keep the supply of Western weapons to the country.
On that day, US President Joe Biden approved the allocation of a new $675 million military aid package to Ukraine. At the same time, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken announced that the States would provide another $2 billion in military assistance to Kyiv and its neighbors.
On September 2, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said that Kyiv was continuing its attempt to attack in the Nikolaev region in order to create the illusion of its combat capability in the West.
On February 24, Russia launched a special operation to protect Donbass. The decision was made against the background of the aggravation of the situation in the region as a result of shelling by the Ukrainian military.
