The Techland team has announced a new update of Dying Light 2called “Community Update 1”which includes a number of changes and changes that players have been clamoring for, including theFSR 2.0 and a new graphics mode for PS5. The update is already available on PC, while the launch on the console versions will take place once the certification process is completed, therefore within a few days.
Among the novelties we find a new option for color grading, “Gritty” thanks to which the color palette should be more similar to the presentation movie of Dying Light 2 of 2019. Improvements have been made to the graphics sector, including new SSAO and TAA.
As for the PC version, support has been added toFSR 2.0 and improved GPU memory management with DirectX 12.
On PS5 the new has been added Balanced mode (60 fps and 4K upscaled from 1296p), VRR support for Performance Mode and both Performance and Quality mode output is increased to 4K using upscale with FSR. The same goes for Xbox Series X Balanced, Performance, Quality and Xbox Series S Quality modes.
Some changes have been made to infected. For example, now more “Biters” will wander around the city and will be more aggressive at night. Additionally, players will encounter more special infects at night. Techland also talks about a series of bug fixes and other minor unspecified improvements.
