Lorenzo Savadori is not in great physical shape: the Aprilia Racing tester accuses the flare-up of the pain in his shoulder after the crash in training, but his wild card work at the Red Bull Ring is very precious for the Noale team because the rider romagnolo is pursuing the development of solutions that cannot be mounted on the GP-RS 22 of Aleix Espargaro and Maverick Vinales which already sport the second aerodynamic version homologated for this season.
The test driver, on the other hand, can devote himself to experimental parts that can be examined in view of a possible adoption for the next year.

The most striking aspect is certainly given by the biplane front wing that adds an element under the blown main profile that adds aerodynamic load by balancing more and better the appearance in the rear of the fin on the tail already seen at the Italian GP at the Mugello.
Savadori rode with the fairing at the beginning of the season, without the “step” that characterizes the two owners bikes.
The Austrian track, which is not particularly suited to Aprilia, with a high average speed despite the introduction of the chicane at turn 2, is a stop ang go track that enhances straight-wheel braking: Savadori’s configuration seems to satisfy the tester by giving precise indications for the future.
