Netflix continues to surprise its users. This time, it has launched “Broken Hearts”, a romantic movie starring Sofia Carson and Nicholas Galitzine as Cassie and Luke, respectively. In a short time, the film has become a success in terms of views and is already #1 in the top 10 of the most viewed on the platform.
Its plot is very simple, but it seems to have caught on with the public. A singer-songwriter (Carson) who has just discovered that she has Type 1 diabetes meets Luke (Galitzine), a prospective Marine struggling with demons from her past. They both agree to marry solely for the military benefits.
In their desire not to be reported and to maintain the farce, they maintain communication while the young man is sent to his mission in Iraq. However, soon the situation becomes complicated and they risk saying goodbye forever, both to his farce and to his freedom.

Will there be a sequel to “Wounded Hearts”?
For now, Netflix has not made it official that it will expand the story of “Purple hearts” (as it was titled in English). In addition, the tape is self-contained; that is to say, it had a defined beginning and end, for which the arcs of the characters were closed in a concrete way.
This does not mean that the streamer does not bet on a continuation. As you remember, “The kissing booth” and “To all the boys” began with a single installment, before extending to successful sequels.
If the plans for a second part materialize, it is possible that new plots related to Cassie and Luke will be explored, possibly in their cohabitation stage or other narratives associated with their life as a couple.
