Air raid sirens sound in northern Kosovo as Serbs build barricades
In the northern part of Kosovo, on the evening of July 31, air raid signals were heard, the Serbian population of the region began to build barricades, informs Novosti.rs portal.
It is noted that the sirens sounded after 17:30 local time. In front of the border base of the Kosovo police in Kosovska Mitrovica, police officers in full uniform and armed with machine guns were seen. It is noted that the Serbs began to build barricades to block the path of the Albanian special forces in the cities of Rudar and Zupcha.
Earlier, Serbian Foreign Minister Nikola Selakovich said that the Albanian authorities of the self-proclaimed Republic of Kosovo are planning to “arrange hell” for the Serbs living there by canceling the documents issued by Belgrade.
From August 1, documents issued by the Serbian authorities will cease to be valid in Kosovo. The authorities of the self-proclaimed republic named the date of termination of the Serbian documents.
