The Colombian singer Sebastián Yatra stayed this Sunday with a shirt of the Uruguayan Luis Suárezwho arrived in his country to be presented as a new National player.
“I was the first shirt that Suárez gave away to @nacional, or so I would like to believe hahaha. Crack successes !!! @LuisSuarez9”the singer posted on his Twitter account, adding an image of the soccer player signing an autograph.
The meeting of Yatra and Suárez
The historical scorer of the Uruguayan team and Yatra met at the Carrasco International Airport, the main air terminal of the South American country.
The Colombian, who is immersed in the world tour “Dharma Tour” to present the songs from his latest album throughout the planet, will give a concert this Sunday at the Antel Arena in Montevideo.
Around 10:30 local time, Suárez and his family arrived in the capital of Uruguay on a plane that took them from Barcelona. Later, they left the airport for the Gran Parque Central stadium accompanied by a caravan made up of thousands of fans.
Suárez became a new player for Nacional on Wednesday, a day after announcing that both parties had a pre-agreement for the player to return to the team he played for between 2005 and 2006.
The striker posted a message on his Twitter, in which he changed his profile picture to one dressed in the jersey of the team in which he began his professional career.
“Now yes, OFFICIALLY! #SUAREZENNACIONAL! I am proud to wear my shirt again in @Nacional! Thank you all for the support! SEE YOU SOON”wrote the striker born in the Uruguayan city of Salto (northwest) in 1987. Likewise, the Tricolor communicated it in a publication on the same social network.

The striker made his official debut with the Nacional shirt in May 2005 and said goodbye in July 2006 after playing 48 games, scoring 12 official goals and winning the Uruguayan Championship twice.
