We immediately notice the decline of the big names in the auto world, at least in Italy. Fiat (-41.34%), Volkswagen (-18.62%), Ford (-31.56%), Opel (-44.10%), Lancia (-50.21%): these were the top five of the 2012 market, in the middle of the year. Today some of them have been overtaken by momentum, in particular by Peugeot (+ 7.83%) and Toyota (+ 45.64%), not to mention the remarkable journey of Dacia, able to grow by + 139.34% in the last ten years. Better than her, only Jeep (+ 646.54%, thanks to the success of SUVs), DR (+ 2115%, from nothing to the stars) and Maseratiable to pass from only 62 registrations to the current 880 in six months (+ 1319%).
There are no more brands, compared to 2012 Chevrolet and Daihatsu (complete abandonment of the market), now almost entirely replaced in the market share by ‘novelties’ Cupra, DS, MG, Tesla and Link & Co. The new one that advances is electric or electrified, an element not present in 2012 when the name Saab still appeared in the data (crazy, right?).
Looking at the kangaroos, or the houses that jumped ahead in the list, to report Toyota (from 9th to 3rd), Dacia (from 17th to 6th), Jeep (from 26th to 9th), Skoda (from 25th ° to 18 °), DR (from 36 ° to 20 °).
