The Honda NSX is typically one of those cars that makes you say, ‘Damn, I should have bought those a few years ago when they weren’t that expensive’. Nowadays you will not easily find them under 50,000 euros. In America someone with a bit of luck bought a copy for 30,000 euros. We are jealous. By the way, it’s not about the Honda in the photo above.
Okay, it is an automatic, that is a small minus. Nowadays you prefer to buy most sports cars with an automatic transmission (they are often not even available with a manual transmission), but in the past it was exactly the other way around. The cheap NSX also has about 236,000 kilometers on the clock, but that is not the reason why it was so attractively priced.
The previous owner sold the car quickly online
The previous owner had sold the Honda (or actually Acura) to Carmax, a site where you list your car online and get an offer right away. We are also familiar with that concept here – we just offered the most expensive car in the Netherlands there as an experiment. The owner apparently wanted to get rid of his Honda NSX quickly (or did not know what he had in his hands) and accepted an offer of 30,000 dollars, converted 29,000 euros.
Carmax employees are apparently allowed to take over purchased cars for the purchase price – and that’s exactly what he did. The buyer signed up on Reddit with his story. He also says that Carmax had repaired the electrically adjustable seat, just like the electric windows. Now looking for a cheap manual gearbox, we think.
