Doctors and nutritionists called for the necessity of continuing to follow a healthy diet, whether during the Eid al-Adha holiday or after that, stressing that the right and proper food helps to avoid diseases or the absence of any complications in the event of any type of disease, especially for those with chronic diseases. For his part, Dr. Mustafa Badr, a family medicine consultant at the American Hospital Clinic in Al Khawaneej, said: Given the state of the “Corona” epidemic, there is a need to keep our immunity healthy and strong, and this can be achieved by implementing an appropriate diet on holidays.
And take some necessary nutritional advice, most notably avoiding processed fruit juices and ultra-processed foods, removing as much fat as possible before cooking meat, or grilling, and also removing visible fat and limiting exposure to heat by reducing the size of meat pieces.
For her part, Nadine Taha, a nutritionist, advised to avoid excessive eating in large quantities during the blessed Eid al-Adha, especially red meat, preferably cooked with barbecue or boiled, and to avoid frying because it increases its fatty content.
