There will be a race at Silverstone this weekend. Last year, Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton collided and there was plenty of trouble for a long time.
Year then Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen collided in the opening round of the British GP.
Red Bull’s Verstappen, who was in the lead, drove quickly to the ramparts when Mercedes’ Hamilton hit it.
Verstappen’s car experienced a collision force of no less than 51 G and the driver had to go to the hospital to be checked. Hamilton was given a ten-second time penalty, but despite this, while Verstappen was in the hospital, Hamilton celebrated the victory.
The situation increased tensions between the two leading drivers. Verstappen felt Hamilton deserved a harsher penalty. Talli agreed with that.
The drivers crashed again a couple of months after the incident. At that time, the Italian GP jury gave Verstappen a three-start penalty for a dangerous crash.
Now a year later, Verstappen is at the top again, but Hamilton is not exactly on his heels.
Autosport in the article, Verstappen states that he has no bad feelings about last year’s race.
“Of course, the crash wasn’t nice, but I love the track,” Verstappen said of Silverstone.
“So I’m not bitter. And I also think I can easily put these things aside. Of course it wasn’t nice what happened, but at the end of the day it’s just something to deal with.”
“It didn’t have good effects for me personally, but we will go there again and of course we will try to win.”
The British Hamilton will probably be enthusiastically encouraged at the Silverstone track. He seems to be waiting for the race.
In his latest Instagram post, Hamilton holds a British flag and writes: “Homecoming. See you soon at Silverstone.”
