Colombia managed to take first place in the classification thanks to the three medals it won on the first day of the skating race. In the men’s 200-meter finish line, Colombian Steven Villegas Ceballos began the harvest for the locals by winning the gold medal with a time of 17.696, while his compatriot Andrés Jiménez took silver (17.747). The podium was completed by the Chilean Emanuelle Silva (18,039).

The hosts also won gold in the women’s individual bowling event with the victory of María José Rodríguez, as well as in the men’s gymnastics team event and in the individual event, won by Andrés Felipe Martínez. The other gold medal that Colombia won this Saturday was judo in the 60-kilogram category with John Jairo Futtinico, who defeated Venezuelan Iván Salas in the final. The bronzes went to the Ecuadorian Bryan Michael Garboa and the Panamanian Bernabé Vergara.
