Ajman Civil Defense reviewed a number of procedures for dealing with fire, which were prepared by the General Command of Civil Defense within the “Culture of Dealing with Fire” initiative, within the framework of fire prevention efforts during the summer.
The procedures included not leaving the kitchen for a long period of time while cooking food on the stove, and making sure that electrical appliances were connected to an independent electrical outlet, in addition to making sure that curtains or any fabrics were far from the stove in the kitchen.
In the framework of the “Safety in Summer” initiative, the Civil Defense directed to avoid using additional extension cords and to always ensure the safety of electrical wires and not to overload the connections more than their capacity, while committing to having a fire extinguisher at work, home and vehicle, which contributes to controlling the fire and limiting its spread.
The Ajman Civil Defense implemented the “Establishment Safety” initiative, where it completed the implementation of an awareness program for 101 car showrooms, with the aim of enhancing the quality of life in the community of the Emirate of Ajman and preserving lives and property.
The initiative included a package of the most important instructions and advice for owners of car showrooms, including the definition of prevention and safety methods to be followed to avoid the occurrence of fire accidents in car showrooms, as well as introducing the types of causes of car fires and ways to deal with fire in its beginnings by following the necessary instructions in the event of its occurrence.
