After months of rumors and leaks of all kinds, Naughty Dog has formalized the arrival of The Last of Us Part I on PS5 during the Summer Game Fest.
This remake “rebuilt from scratch for PS5” is therefore a reality and will arrive on September 2, 2022 on PlayStation 5. We are talking about modeling of the characters and faces remade, environments recreated and dubbing renewed to be even more realistic. There are also promised features related to the DualSense controller, 3D audio and overall improved exploration, effects and combat. Nine years after the original release, The Last of Us will therefore seek to reach new audiences.
During the official announcement of The Last of Us Part I, comparison images were released. However, the differences in the shot don’t make the improvements so noticeable. That’s why Naughty Dog recently posted a Tess comparison video on Twitter, where the rendering and modeling improvements are much more visible.
Annie @Wersching destroyed us with her performance as Tess. Love that we get to better show off her di lei acting chops di lei with Part I! https://t.co/gYbWE74C4Z

Tess’s face is undoubtedly much more expressive, with eyebrows and a mouth that convey much more of the character’s mood. As for the content, players will find the base game, The Last of Us: Left Behind expansion and some in-game bonuses depending on the edition chosen.
