The PT’s pre-candidate for the state government defended a plan of goals based on increasing the resolution of crimes
The PT’s pre-candidate for the government of São Paulo, Fernando Haddadsaid he wants to value the State police, but also wants to “result”. The statement was made this Monday (June 6, 2022) during an interview with the program Live Wheelgives TV Cultura.
“We want to value the career, but we want a certain result that society will say what it is”, said the PT.
Haddad said he is talking to public security professionals and will propose a “covenant” based on crime reduction and increased case resolution.
The former mayor of São Paulo also declared that in an eventual 2nd round he prefers to face someone who is “within the sphere of democracy”.
“No one who has served this government [Bolsonaro] have a democratic spirit”, said Haddad when asked if he considers the former Minister of Infrastructure Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicans) to be a Democrat.
Tarcísio has Bolsonaro’s support in the dispute for Palácio dos Bandeirantes.
MARINA SILVA
Haddad stated that he sees former minister Marina Silva (Rede) as a “Necessary Personality in Brazil”but did not say if he will have her as his deputy on his ticket.
The idea that the former senator integrates the candidacy for the government of São Paulo has been discussed in recent days. Because she has a conservative profile, Marina could help win this electorate in the interior of the state.
According to the former mayor, the final decision on who will be his deputy will come after the PT defines alliances in other states.
