Profession manager / After Paolo Scaroni and Vera Fiorani, the interview with Alessandro Benetton
Classical studies still matter to the great managers of today. To tell it to affaritaliani.it is the new head of Benetton, Alexanderson of Luciano and president of Holding edition. After the interview with the former boss of Eni and Enel Paolo Scaroni and the managing director of Italian Railway Network, Vera Fioranion the theme of “Manager profession – how to build a career” (renewed in content), format launched by the director Angelo Maria Perrino to the Sole 24 Ore Economy Festival to Trento, affaritaliani.it asked another great Italian manager on this topic.
Alessandro Benetton, what strikes you when you examine a resume?
“The technical experiences and the know-how of origin are a fundamental gateway for each of us because they represent the beginning of the compass towards which each of us wants to go. But then the fundamental characteristics become more and more important when it comes to curiosity, empathy and flexibility in accepting a world that has less certainty than previously imagined and thinking that many of the international technology companies have people at the top who they have studied ancient history or philosophy makes me reflect on the fact that perhaps we are living in a phase where the ancient Greeks had to solve problems without making a large database. Having a flexible mind from which point of view is very important ”.
