The British newspaper “The Sun” reported that chickenpox and monkeypox together cause a rash on the body, along with fever and fatigue.
So, what are the most prominent differences between the two diseases and what symptoms should you pay attention to?
monkey pox: It is a rare disease that first appeared in Africa, and began in the days of spreading in a number of countries of the world. Symptoms usually last between 5 and 21 days, and include: fever – headache – muscle aches – back pain – swollen lymph nodes – chills – fatigue, then the appearance of a rash (sometimes itchy) on the face, hands and feet.
Chickenpox: The main difference between the two is that chickenpox does not usually cause a headache and swollen lymph nodes. It is also more targeted towards children, pregnant women and immunocompromised individuals.
The Sun explained that chickenpox causes severe itching that makes the sufferer feel “unhappy,” noting that “adults who get chickenpox usually suffer from symptoms for a longer period.”
“Before the rash appears, the patient may experience a high temperature, pain and loss of appetite,” she added.
