The University of Murcia (UMU), through the Chair of Naval History and Heritage, has developed the Erasmus+ European project ‘All hands on deck’ (Ahod), with the aim of recovering the traditional techniques of shipbuilding shipbuilding in Europe and the shipowner trade, one of the oldest jobs in this territory, informed sources from the institution in a statement.
The results of the project will be presented today, at the Isen University Center, in Cartagena. The act can be followed both in person and virtually.
Ahod, which is a nautical order that means that everyone is necessary in a certain situation and activity, originated when detecting the increase in job opportunities in the carpentry of wooden boats, an eco-sustainable trade perpetuated in certain countries.
