Mexico.- The month of May came with many surprises because just in that period, a total lunar eclipse can be seen in Mexico, as announced by the National Institute of Astrophysics, Optics and Electronics.
According to the scientific research organization, this astronomical phenomenon can be seen on the night of May 15. And it can be seen throughout the Mexican Republic.
The INAOEP detailed that the total lunar eclipse, or “Miztli cualo” which means when the Moon is eaten in Nahuatl, will begin at 8:33 p.m. Central Mexico time.
At 9:28 p.m. the lunar eclipse will go into its partial phase and two minutes later it will reach its totality, having its midpoint at 11:12 p.m.
Finally, the lunar eclipse will end at 11:54 p.m. and its partial phase will be seen until 00:55 a.m.
While during the early hours of May 16 this astronomical phenomenon will reach its consummation.
Popular mind the lunar eclipse is known as “Blood Moon” for the type of effect that can be seen. This phenomenon is undoubtedly one that you do not want to miss, and although it can be seen from anywhere in the country, some astronomical observers will look for areas far from the city because in these places there is less light that obstructs the observation.
