“A wonderful spectacle”, “a classic” and “amazing”. At the BBC they ran out of superlatives to describe the first semi-final match between Manchester City and Real Madrid. “Champions League thriller with seven goals,” added Sky Sports to that.
The Sun also speaks of “a classic”. “Tear all the tactics manuals, kick the whiteboard, destroy all the laptops with data analysis and give us more of this please. The thumping pace, the breathtaking quality and the absence of any structure made this an extraordinary evening.”
