Aside from the indoor season, even the youth Olympic team has already set its sights on outdoor competitions. The group led by the technical director Ilario Di Buò yesterday concluded the meeting which took place in the modern and functional structure of the Palakosmos in Rovereto. The azzurrini, both the students and the juniors, met starting from Thursday 17 and concluded the technical group meeting on Sunday.

The international events involving the Italian Under 21 and Under 16 will be only two this season: the European Youth Cup will be held in Bucharest from 25 to 31 July and, following the trip to Romania, the young Italian arrows will go to Great Britain, to Lilleshall, to compete in the European Youth Championships from 15 to 20 August. “There will not be many opportunities to test the growth of the group in trips abroad – explains Di Buò – for this reason the rallies this season will be particularly important. They will allow us to closely follow the boys, work on strengths and weaknesses to make them improve. technically, physically and also for mental stability. It is no coincidence that we have made available to the youth team a staff capable of helping them from every point of view “. In fact, alongside Ilario Di Buò, the technicians Giovanni Falzoni and Guendalina Sartori, the assistant technicians Tamara Nespoli, Emanuele Alberini, Andrea Toderi, the physical trainer Luigi Zanon and the federal school technician Mirko Bianchi were present at the meeting in Trentino.

On the Rovereto shooting line these were the athletes belonging to the pupils category: Francesco Poerio Piterà (Arcieri Club Lido), Francesco Zaghis (Compagnia Arcieri Franchi), Mattia Ruffino Sancataldo (Città di Opera), Riccardo Alfano (Archers of Roccolo), Keiran Shkora (Archers Decumanus Maximus), Davide De Giovanni (Livorno Archers Dino Sani), Chiara Compagno (Sagittario Del Veneto), Elena Branca (Archers of the Feud of Maida), Alessia D’Errico (Archers Torrevecchia), Giada Fiorot (Archers Curtis Vadi), Kaede Marsili (Varian Archers) and Ana Morgagni (Arco Club Riccione). Among the seniors, instead, Francesco Gregori (Arco Club Riccione) trained in Rovereto, just back from his first meeting with the senior national team, Marco Zaghis (Compagnia Arcieri Franchi), Federico Novati (Arcieri La Sorgente), Matteo Bilisari (Maremmana Arcieri Giovanni from the Black Bands), Federico Fabrizzi (Ilcinese Arcieri di Montalcino Company), Matteo Borsani (Roccolo Archers), Andrea Cammilleri (Varian Archers), Francesco Roppa (Alpine Archers), Matteo Balsamo (Artemide Archers), Roberta Di Francesco ( Archers from Abruzzo), Aiko Rolando (Fiamme Oro), Francesca Aloisi (Archers Iuvenilia), Ginevra Landi (Maremmana Archers Giovanni dalle Bande Nere) and Lucia Mosna (Archers Valli di Non and di Sole). They were intense days during which it was possible to train on one of the bogeys of archers: the god of the wind … Between really insidious gusts, during which it was necessary to know how to choose the right moment to aim and let go of the arrow, the azzurrini were able to learn more about how to manage the race when the wind makes everything more difficult by dramatically increasing the margin of error of each arrow shot.
