Dubai Racing Club has announced the potential list of the world’s elite horses participating in the “26th edition” of the Dubai World Cup evening, which will be held on March 26 at Meydan Racecourse.
The initial list that was revealed includes 131 horses from 13 countries, participating in the nine races. The total value of the evening’s prizes is $30.5 million, including the Dubai World Cup race, whose prizes amount to 12 million, sponsored by Emirates Airlines.
Major General Dr. Mohammed Issa Al-Adab, Board Member and General Manager of Dubai Racing Club, said: We are pleased with the strong participation in the nine races in the “26th edition” of the Dubai World Cup, and it is very nice to see representation from different countries at the event.
He added: “We are also delighted and welcome back to the track in large numbers for the first time since 2019, and we hope everyone will enjoy a great evening of racing.”
At the top of the list is a selection of the winning horses in the first category races in the world, and the representatives of the UAE “Magne Course”, the third Dubai World Cup, and “Real World”, both by Godolphin, and “Hypothetical” by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, winner of the final round of the Al Maktoum Challenge.
There is the American horse “Live Is Good”, the holder of the Pegasus Cup title, which is currently one of the best horses in the world on the sandy ground with its classification of 124, and “Hot Rod Charlie”, who confirmed his worth by winning the second round of the Al Maktoum Challenge for the second category in his only participation. In the country, the third horse of the American battalion “Country Grammer”, and the runner-up for the Saudi Cup.
As for the Longines Dubai Shema Classic, which has a prize value of 6 million dollars, the holder of the Breeders Cup Turf Cup “Liber” for Godolphin will also participate, as well as the Japanese “Authority”, after his deserved victory in the “Nom Turf Cup Challenge” for the “third category” in Riyadh, along with “Al-Linker”. Winner of the Winter Derby Stakes, Category 3 Challenge, Lingfield Racecourse, UK.
The Godolphin team is pushing the “Creative Force” and “Man of Promise” in the Al Quoz Sprint Challenge, and the rising blue team star “Manobu” is participating in the Dubai Gold Cup.
While the undefeated Azure Coast stands out in the Emirates Derby for the second category, the Godolphin Mile race attracts a strong elite that includes Godolphin’s “Storm Damage” alongside, and the title holder, “Secret Ambition”, who seeks to confirm his merit.
The Golden Shaheen Race for the first category, and the Dubai Gold Cup race, attract a distinguished elite of European, American and Japanese horses, as well as Emirates horses.
As for the Arabian Horse Challenge, the Dubai Kahila Classic Race, which attracts an elite group of horses, most notably the champion of the last edition, “Darian”, and “Jagurtha de Monlo”, the champion of the last round of the Al Maktoum Challenge, and both of them are Lies races belonging to His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister Minister of Presidential Affairs, in addition to other strong horses such as “Hadi de Carrier” and “RB Rich Like Me”.
