The video shows Zelensky standing on his usual podium, from which he gives his speeches, and says in a speech addressed to Ukrainians and Ukrainians: “It turns out that it is not easy to be president.”
He added that he had “decided to return Donbass”, in eastern Ukraine, to Russia, noting that his army’s efforts in the war had “failed”.
He concluded his speech by saying: “My advice to you is to lay down your weapons and go back to your families. It is not worth dying in this war. My advice is to stay alive. I will do the same.”
The British “Sky News” website confirmed that the video was fabricated, noting that it was easy to discover it.
And it appears through the spread clip that Zelensky’s head “is very large compared to his body, and it is also lit differently,” according to “Sky News”.
A translator working for “Sky News” also revealed that the voice in the fake video was “fainter and slower” than Zelensky’s normal voice.
The fabrication process is usually based on manipulating a picture or video of a person speaking, and then fabricating words for him, which he did not say in the first place.
Later, Zelensky himself commented on the fabricated video, saying, on his Instagram account: “We will not lay down any weapons until we win.. I advise the Russian forces to lay down their weapons and go home.”
