Finnish Bob the Robot will continue to operate under its own brand.
Norwegian marketing company North Alliance acquires the Finnish advertising agency Bob the Robot and the digital design agency Dunning, Kruger & Associates (DK&A).
The purchase price of the acquisitions will not be disclosed, North Alliance says in a statement. Bob the Robot and DK&A will continue to operate under their own brands as subsidiaries of the North Alliance.
Founded in 2014, the North Alliance employs approximately 1,200 people in Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Poland. The acquisitions announced on Tuesday will expand its business to Finland.
“With the North Alliance family, we also get decent international muscles in marketing technology and building digital customer experiences. It’s great that Finnish marketing expertise is of international interest, ”says Bob the Robot’s CEO Miska Rajasuo in the bulletin.
Bob the Robot from Helsinki says that he is one of the most award-winning advertising agencies in Finland. Its largest customers include the S Group, Valio, Elisa, Anora and Veikkaus. The office employs 70 people.
Bob the Robot was born in 2013 in the merger of Bob Helsinki and Robot Creative Agency. Bob Helsinki’s best-known advertising works were Saarioinen’s “Food Made by Mothers” campaign and Sauli Niinistö “President of the Workers” campaign in the 2006 presidential election.
DK&A was founded in 2016 and employs 75 people in Helsinki, Oulu, Poland and Germany. The company is headquartered in Helsinki.
