We know that sooner or later, dead pool will be integrated into MCU. In accordance with Marvel, Ryan Reynolds will continue to play the character so we don’t have to worry about a possible recast, and in fact, this antihero was going to appear in this cinematic universe as soon as in the movie of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.
AndrewKim, conceptual artist for this film, recently revealed that he worked on a scene where we were going to see dead pool fighting against Proxima Midnight, one of the members of the Black Order from Thanos that appeared in the MCU for the first time in Avengers: Infinity War.
Obviously this scene was cut from the final version of Shang Chi, but his artist did not explain why. Perhaps the producers of it considered that dead pool deserved a much more epic introduction to the MCUbut in a way, this confirms that the Merc with a Mouth it will eventually return to the big (or small) screen.
Publisher’s note: I think I would not have liked to see Deadpool as a simple cameo, because the character really deserves a good welcome. With Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, it’s likely we’ll be seeing Deadpool in theaters once again, or so fans think.
