Starbucks said the Kuwait-based Alshaya Group, which operates at least 100 Starbucks cafes in Russia, “will support the nearly 2,000 partners in Russia who depend on Starbucks for their livelihoods.”
Also, McDonald’s said it would stop operating its 847 restaurants in Russia, most of which are owned by the company.
Coca-Cola said its business in Russia and Ukraine contributed roughly 1 to 2 percent of the company’s net operating income in 2021.
PepsiCo said it would continue to sell daily necessities such as milk and other dairy products, infant formula and baby food in Russia.
