This has been the last five visits of Leo Messi to the Santiago Bernabéu, which for years has been practically his second residence:
Real Madrid 2-1 Barça (April 10, 2021)
It was a pretty bad game for Barcelona that around the halfway point in the first half was already down by two goals on the scoreboard.
A good second half was about to allow the culé team to equalize the contest, but the game ended with a white victory. The highlight of Messi’s game was hitting the crossbar with an Olympic shot.
Real Madrid 2-0 Barca (March 1, 2020)
Ominous match for the culé team that was surpassed by the white team in all facets of the game. First Vinicius in the 70th minute and then Mariano in the 92nd put the icing on the cake in a game in which Messi went largely unnoticed.
Real Madrid 0-1 Barça (March 2, 2019)
On this occasion it was the culé team that took the three points in a match from power to power in which no one took the baton of the match. Messi took the award for the best player of the match by being in charge of stirring up all of Barcelona’s attacks.
Real Madrid 0-3 Barça (February 27, 2019)
Second leg of the Copa del Rey semifinals. The first leg had ended 1-1 with goals from Lucas Vázquez and Malcom. The return leg was played at the Bernabéu and despite this result, Real Madrid dominated for much of the match. Luis Suárez scored a hat-trick, and Messi was not lucky enough to score or assist.
Real Madrid 0-3 Barça (December 23, 2017)
Another game in which Messi took the MVP. The Barça player scored a goal from eleven meters and assisted Aleix Vidal in the goal that closed the match. Barça’s great game that took three points that helped him go to the Christmas break as leader.
